ANY IDEAS WELCOME ON PROMOTING OUR BLOG!
I'm sure many of you have great promotion ideas to get more people to our blog. If you have them, post some for us! Anyone running a contest? Have a new book? Have a new place to visit?
I'm checking out Shelfari.com right now to see if there's a simple way to list the Wings authors there - Lynn Romaine

What about setting up a once monthly guest blog where we invite an author, agent, editor, or publisher to be a guest blogger? Then promo that on other writing lists. I belong to several Yahoo authors groups, and I'm sure others here do, as well.

Great idea, Linda. We're discussing doing weekly excerpts also from Wings authors. I'm not too sure about having agents/editors since we have our Wings editors already, but I think guest experts discussing writing and/or promoting is a great idea.
Any suggestions for other writing lists to promo to?

I'll see what I can come with for a list of promo sites. I think that if you can find a way to make the blog unique, different from the other Wings Authors and Wings Readers lists, you may attract more authors to the blog. I'm not sure of how to do that, but it's a suggestion. If the blog is just one more place to post the same information that is posted on the other loops, I'm not sure it will be well utilized.
