Hi there; I've just come from selling my books at a Christmas craft fair and I was impressed by those avid readers who wanted to know how a writer gets published. My answer is the same for whatever aspiration might be in mind-perseverance is the key. A writer must use her imagination everyday and jot down her thoughts no matter how unorganized they may seem at the time. Persistence leads the way to better writing and more knowledge of the publishing world. From there, networking with published authors, attending workshops, and entering contests all play a part in getting your story to print and to the reader. Carol McPhee
